What is Shumaker Industries and why do we exist?

Shumaker Industries is a third-generation family business that specializes in manufacturing construction equipment. The company was founded in 1953 by Roy E. Shumaker, who then transferred the business in 1976 to his son, Doug E. Shumaker. Under Doug’s leadership, the company experienced great growth and became a leading fabricator of replacement drums for ready-mix trucks in the United States. Doug’s unwavering commitment to the principle of “putting people over profits” has greatly impacted who/what Shumaker Industries is today. In 2013 Doug transferred both ownership and the vision of Shumaker Industries to his son, Brett E. Shumaker, who is determined to follow in his father’s footsteps.

For over 7 decades Shumaker Industries has been known for manufacturing high-quality equipment for the construction industry, however, the true purpose of our company is much bigger. Shumaker Industries’ primary goal is to glorify God in all that we do and make a positive impact on the people around us. We strive to impact our employees, their families, our customers, our suppliers, and the community in which we are located. It is this purpose that inspires our team to manufacture the highest quality products, build relationships, sell equipment, and add new members to the team.
